| October 2, 2005 18:58 - Excuse Me...Your Life Is Waiting!
Dontcha just love the title?! It's not mine though...it's the title of a book I've just finished reading by Lynn Grabhorn.
I loved it! It's helped me to get back to feeeeling my intentions and affirmations rather than just repeating them robotically. I've found over the years that if I feel good then that attracts more of what I want into my life. It's a matter of learning how to get to that feel good place when not so good things are happening in the outer world. But the more you can stay there, the more your life lightens up!
Although I found the writing at times to be repetitive and a bit simplistic...I came away from it reminded that without feeling the energy of what I want, I am just going to remain in the same place no matter how many affirmations I recite.
If you're in need of a reminder on how feelings can charge your affirmations...give this book a try!

October 7, 2005 05:26 - Pump Up Your Passion In 6 Simple Steps
Love life. Lose track of time. Get caught up in the moment. Choose to be not only present but truly, utterly involved in the things you do. Sing, laugh, dance and play. Life really is too short to not participate passionately in every moment. (Read Article)

October 11, 2005 05:48 - Not where you want to be?
I sometimes get caught up in moaning about where I am in my life and it often feels like it's far away from where I want to be. The quote below helps me to get back on track and realize that life is a process and it's never finished, I hope it does the same for you!
"Every single person on the planet and every single Consciousness in the Universe has the same experience of being here and having a desire to be there. In other words, it is the promise of this eternal Universe...You're always, always, always going to be on your way to something more - always. And when you relax and accept that, and stop beating up on yourself for not being someplace that you're not, and instead, start embracing where you are while you keep your eye on where you're going - now life becomes really, really, really fun."

October 15, 2005 23:43 - My Choice
Heading home the other day on the bus we were caught up in a traffic jam because a truck had overturned and spilled dangerous chemicals all over the road. It was far from where we were but they had closed the road. It was interesting to watch and listen to each person's reaction to the news that we might be stuck there for hours. Some were outraged, other's looked nervous, some looked like they could care less. It was interesting to me because although we were all in the same situation, we each perceived it differently and responded to it differently.
It reminded me that no matter what the situation, it is my choice how I respond to it. I can get all dramatic (which is fun sometimes) or I can choose to relax into the situation and see if there is anything in it that can help me grow. The quote below is something I repeat often to remind myself that my life is my doing...no-one else's...and I like it that way!
"My will shall shape the future. Whether I fail or succeed shall be no man's doing but my own. I am the force; I can clear any obstacle before me or I can be lost in the maze. My choice; my responsibility; win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny."

October 22, 2005 07:42 - Getting Ready To Live
Why is it that we're always getting ready to live? You know, I'll take that vacation to the Bahamas when I've lost 20 pounds and look good in a bathing suit...or, when I have this or that I'll really be able to enjoy life. Seems kind of crazy that we keep putting off doing things we would enjoy because we feel we don't have the proper talent or look or whatever other excuse we use to not to live our dreams.
We somehow think we have all the time in the world and can put things off until tomorrow. But who knows if we have a day or a year or 20 years left to play here on planet earth? What happens if time runs out and you still haven't lost that 20 pounds or gotten rich or written that book or expressed who you truly are? As Oliver Wendall Holmes said so eloquently, you'll have died with your music still in you. I for one don't want this to happen to me...how about you?
"Many people die with their music still in them. Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out."
Oliver Wendell Holmes
